Homegrown startup BornToBunk.com helps you book budget and mid-tiered accommodation (hostels and hotels) across 40 cities in Asia.

Watch out Couchsurfing, Airbnb and Nightswapping—there's a new online travel reservation portal in town. BornToBunk.com is an innovative Singapore startup that's targeted at the budget, independent and youth travel market, and connects travelers with affordable accommodation options around Asia.

The site features a curated portfolio of budget to mid-tiered accommodations across 40 cities in Asia, such as Bansabai Hostel in Bangkok and Urban Pack in Hong Kong. Moreover, you can make multiple reservations at different accommodations within a single transaction—very convenient. Plus, the site also features a public blogging platform where users can share personal travel stories and anecdotes (users who blog stand to be rewarded with travel credits), which goes some way in helping you avoid the dodgy stuff.

To celebrate its launch, BornToBunk.com is holding an Instagram contest called "Travel Treasures"—simply follow @borntobunk on Instagram and tag your best travel pics with @borntobunk and #traveltreasures. Prizes up for grabs include a Pentax DSLR K-50, free accommodation in Asia and more. Contest ends August 26.
