Hanoi, Vietnam, will be the site of the very first Artwork is Work: ASEAN Music Festival, on May 11. A celebration of creative, Asian youth culture, it will feature performances by bands from the ASEAN region as well as a creative arts market and a visual arts center. Bands on the line-up include garage rockers Blood Sugar Politik (Myanmar), post-rock act Pulso (the Philippines), metal band 18+ (Vietnam) and electro group Muon (Singapore), as well as our very own traditional Thai funk act The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band. Organized by the in-the-know CAMA Vietnam crew in conjunction with the US Embassy Hanoi, the fest also aims to highlight the importance of intellectual property rights enforcement in ASEAN countries. It all kicks off from 2pm at 19-21 Hai Ba Trung Street, Hanoi. Tickets are available at the door for VND300,000 (B420) or VND100,000 (B140) for those holding a valid ASEAN passport.
