Go glamping in Thailand at this stunning new spot in the mountains
For when you need to get away from the city life
The next time you're in Bangkok, head up north and into nature at Khaokho (it's about a 5.5-hour drive north of the Thai capital), where new glamping spot The Campville has been erected.
Here, strings of fairy lights encircle the 63 safari-style tents, which come with sizable mattresses capable of accommodating either two (B1,500/night or around $63/night) or four (B2,500/night or around $105/night) guests.
There’s no AC, but fortunately temperatures in this mountainous part of Phetchabun get as low as 20 degrees Celsius during the winter time. For food, an a la carte menu is available for breakfast and, come evening, guests are encouraged to come together in the communal field area to enjoy live music while barbecuing their own dinner. There's a bar too, so you know where to get your booze.
With gorgeous views over the surrounding hills and twinkling lights hanging overhead, it’s a rather romantic place as well. Let the pictures below speak for themselves.
