You now have one more excuse to procrastinate, with new travel inspiration site Somewhere, an Instagram hack that compiles photos of incredible places with descriptions and maps for you to flick through.

Behind this new site is French hacker Benjamin Netter, who came up with the idea while working on his travel site Tripovore. He tells us: "I discovered that Instagram shots were giving the mood of places better than any professional photographers. I thought it would be great to see shots people were taking in amazing places."

After adding the name of a destination, Netter sources around 150 Instagram pictures, from which he chooses the right one for the job, along with a map and wikipedia description.

Netter launched the site at the end of January, but it was an instant hit. "People traveled to over 500,000 places from their computer in the first two days. I think Somewhere is a great way to spend 10 minutes when it’s cold outside and holidays seem so far," he says.

By clicking the "somewhere else" button, you can see another destination. Some of his personal favorites are the Door to HellSalar de Uyuni, an abandoned city in Ukraine, and a desert in Namibia.
