After trekking out to Seletar Airport (OK, it’s far in Singapore terms) to catch flights to Tioman all these years (20 to be exact!), Berjaya Air has finally done us a favor — they’ve shifted operations to Changi Airport’s tidy little Budget Terminal. So escaping to the rustic isles of Redang and Tioman (off Peninsula Malaysia’s east coast) will be a whole lot easier, especially with the airline upping flight frequencies as well. During the Northeast monsoon season (from November to February, 2011) Berjaya will fly on Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat and Sun, after which it’ll operate daily on its quaint turbo-props. For updated fares and travel packages log on to www.berjaya-air.com to book.
