Following its B200 million restoration, the 8,000-rai Boon Rawd farm in Chiang Rai is celebrating with a Farm Festival on the Hill at its renewed Singh Park on Nov 13-17. As part of the event, the first Singha Obstacle Fun Run will take place on Nov 17. As the name suggests, it’s not all about winning; rather the competition will put contestants through a number of military training-style obstacles such as climbing over walls, carrying objects, and crawling under nets. Participants can also enjoy the beautiful mountain and farmland scenery. However, if you don’t feel like working out on holiday, there are barley, tea and fruit plantations to explore, while the park’s Phurirom restaurant and shop selling farming products are also worth a visit. www.boonrawdfarm.com
