Coming soon: A cheaper route to Mauritius

It’s only been a few months since Air Mauritius launched direct flights between Singapore and Mauritius and now we have a cheaper way to get to the island paradise (albeit with a transit in Kuala Lumpur). AirAsia X commences thrice-weekly flights between KL and Mauritius on Oct 4 (departing Tue, Fri, Sun/returning Mon, Wed, Sat).
From getaways on the beaches of Grand Baie, to treks around Morne Brabant and swimming with dolphins off the coast of Tamarin, Mauritius is a place to do it all, or do nothing. And the unique Chinese-, French- and Indian-influenced cuisine is a draw of its own.
All-in return flights on the Singapore-KL-Mauritius route start at around $661. Direct Singapore-Mauritius flights with Air Mauritius start at around $971.
