With the bullet train service between Guangzhou and Beijing commencing operations just before the New Year, China is now home to the world’s longest high-speed rail line. With speeds of up to 300km/hour, the once 22-24-hour trip (2,298 km) between the two cities is now a mere eight-hour journey. Tickets are RMB865 (B4,252) for second class travel, RMB1,383 (B6,799) for first class and a whopping RMB13,403 (B65,220) for business class. For more information visit http://tiny.cc/cmyypw.
