Beijing’s boutique hotel Yi House, in the center of the Beijing 798 Art District in Shaoyang is becoming The Grace Beijing (www.gracebeijing.com), the Grace Hotel Group’s first Asian property. This former crystal factory was transformed into a 30-room property, with a mixture of Bauhaus-industrial style, modern Chinese designs, raw materials and vivid colors, placing it on Condé Nast’s Hot List Hotels 2011. Its inaugural promotions include seven nights for the price of five and three nights for the price of two on weekends. Rates are from RMB774 (B3,480) in low season (Nov-Feb) and from RMB1,032 (B4,825) for peak season.
