Chiang Mai’s earthiest music gathering, Shambhala in Your Heart Festival (www.fb.com/shambhalafestival), returns for the ninth time this Feb 9-18 at Chiang Dao Youth Camp.

 

A predecessor of sorts to Wonderfruit festival, the event promises a whopping nine days of environmentally-friendly activities like tie-dye, yoga and even trash-management workshops.

 

Tickets for Thais are B100 for a one-day pass or B500 for nine days, while foreigners are B200/B1,000. The price includes a spot at the camping site or in the dormitory. All profits will go towards community improvements around the Chiang Dao district. 

 

The music lineup isn’t out yet—expect acoustic guitar-wielding musicians from Chiang Mai and surrounding areas.
