Chiang Mai Design Week is back with workshops, music, markets, and lots of art
Conveniently occurring over a long weekend.
This Dec 5-13, Chiang Mai Design Week returns to the northern capital with workshops, markets, installations, and more.
Once again, the festival will be spread across the city, with events happening in the Chiang Moi (TCDC Chiang Mai), San Kamphaeng, and Three Kings Monument districts.
Each day, events will culminate around the Pop Market (4-10pm). Held at the Chiang Mai Tobacco Office, the market will feature workshops, food, live music, and booths from over 150 different local creators—from home decor to fashion and lifestyle brands.
Activities-wise, expect farm-to-table feasts from the likes of Rustic & Blue, workshops like indigo-weaving with organic textile brand Norapao and printmaking with C.A.P. Studio, discussions led by the UNHRC, live music from over 30 local indie bands, and more exhibitions than we can name here. Visit chiangmaidesignweek.com for more.
The event is also the precursor to the annual Bangkok Design Week, which is currently scheduled for Jan 30-Feb 7, 2021, and will be spread across four districts: Charoenkrung-Songwat, Samyan, Ari-Pradipat, and Thonglor-Ekkamai. Stay tuned for more.
