Cherry blossom season arrives in Tokyo March 25
The cherry blossom season is set to start March 25 and the Palace Hotel Tokyo at the Imperial Palace Gardens is a top spot to catch the blooms.
Tokyo’s cherry blossom season is set to start on March 25 and will run through the end of April.
The arrival of Japan’s national flower signals the New Year. A prime place to see the pink blooms is the Imperial Palace Gardens. At the park, visitors can view an old Edo Castle's inner moat, surrounded by cherry blossoms. Set in the gardens of the Imperial Palace, right by the moat, the Palace Hotel Tokyo is a top establishment to view the natural spectacle.
The place features ten restaurants which run the gamut from Japanese to French, each associated with a two-star Michelin chef. Famed mineral water brand Evian also has a luxe spa on the hotel’s fifth floor. Rooms start at US$596 (S$741).
