Phuket's artisanal rum distillery now has its own bar and also offers cocktail workshops.

Visitors can now follow up a tour of Chalong Bay Rum distillery (from Mon-Sat every hour from 2-6pm, including tasting session and mojito at B300/person) by partaking in a cocktail workshop (Tue-Sat). At B1,200/person, you’ll get to make three different cocktails, while private sessions can also be arranged (minimum of 4 participants).

If you just want to chill, stop by the newly opened Chalong Bay Rum Bar for a sip of their classic cocktails, bite-sized Mediterranean tapas and a fittingly tropical vibe. Finish off with a scoop of the delicious Chalong Bay rum and raisin ice-cream (B100/scoop).

Launched back in 2012, Chalong Bay Rum is produced from pure Thai sugarcane juice (not molasses, like most distilleries), crafted using traditional French distillation methods. The gold medal winner at the San Francisco World Spirit Competition in 2015 now distributes bottles to over 20 countries.
