Philippine carrier Cebu Pacific has launched a new route. It will fly between Singapore and Iloilo from November 9.

Cebu Pacific will fly thrice weekly from Singapore to IIoilo from November 9 for S$224 return.

Illoilo, a culture-rich city in central Philippines, will be the fifth hub of the carrier, which is also planning to launch two weekly Hong Kong-Illoilo and four weekly General Santos-Illoilo flights. The frequency of flights from Manila to Illoilo will also be increased to seven times a day.

A fascinating, more uncommon travel destination among Singaporeans, Illoilo will be celebrating the Dinagyang Festival in January, where revelers don colorful tribal costumes to mark the arrival of Malay settlers in the region.
