There's a hot new establishment along Singapore's Mosque Street (a part of town where anyone in the know should be staying).
Hotel Mono (hotelmono.com) has combined six conservation shop-houses to make room for a series of high quality and well-designed rooms. We've seen our fair share of minimalistic hotel designs in Singapore (Lloyd's Inn, The Warehouse), but none as committed as this one.
The hotel is completely decked out in monochrome colors and no two rooms are the same, thanks to award-winning firm Spacedge Designs, who took Design of the Year in 2012 President Design Award for their glossy luminating HDB flat design Wonder Box.
They've also kept prices at just SG$160 (B4,000) for a double. Book way in advance as they only have 46 rooms.
