Time to tick off another UNESCO World Heritage-listed spot?

The UNESCO World Heritage-listed Jiuzhaigou National Park, dubbed Northern China’s Fairyland, has just welcomed a new high-end hotel, Banyan Tree Jiuzhaigou (goo.gl/Mb69Xe).

Set on a hill facing a stunning landscape of limestone terraces, the 209-room hotel takes its design inspiration from the Qiang, a 3,000-year-old ethnic minority group in Tibet. The result is a combination of clean lines and intricate embroidered details.

On top of an 18-hole golf course set at an altitude of over 2,000 meters, the hotel also consists of five restaurants and bars, as well as a spa offering unique treatments using local ingredients such as sweet cherry, chuan bei and tian ma.

A garden room costs CNY1,600 (B8,290), while the stunning panoramic suite is CNY3,100 (B16,061) and presidential suite is CNY32,200 (B166,827).
