As I live across from First Hotel, on Phetburi Rd., I wasn't too thrilled when they placed #8 in the Dirtiest Hotels Top 10 Asia on TripAdvisor's annual survey (bad for my apartment's resale value, you know). Thailand also held first spot, with the Phi Phi Don Chukit Resort.

But that was last year. The 2011 edition is out and Thailand scored #7 and #9 with Ya Ya Resort (Krabi) and Haad Gruad Beach Resort & Spah (Koh Phangan) this time around.

Surprisingly, Asia's dirtiest hotel is now in Singapore, as is #3. The runner-up's in Malaysia.
