Starting from this month, Bangkok Airways (www.bangkokair.com) will be the third airline to operate direct flights between Bangkok and Vientiane, the capital city of Laos, following THAI Airways and Lao Airlines. The 1.15-hour flight will be made by a 138-seat Airbus 319. There’s only one flight per day for now, leaving Suvarnabhumi Airport at 8:15am, and returning from Vientiane’s Wattay Airport at 10am. Fares start from B2,990 roundtrip, exclusive of taxes and surcharge (an extra B2,900).
