See performance art take over the city streets at Fremantle Street Arts Festival this April. In the port town of Western Australia, this acclaimed annual event has drawn over 100,000 visitors in previous years from across the world.

Festival revellers can expect three days of worldclass outdoor theater, music, comedy, circus acts and cabaret performances, along with the Aussie city's coastal vibe.

Fremantle Mayor, Dr Brad Pettitt says: "Fremantle will provide a relaxed environment to enjoy some of the world’s most incredible street performance talent; blankets and picnics are welcome. Fremantle is a unique and vibrant city with a culture of nurturing the arts, so when you combine this with a line-up of exceptional artists from all corners of the globe, the result is truly spectacular."

Highlights include the 'Roving Saurus' from the Netherlands, dinosaur-like creatures that will roam through the crowds with a performance combining smoke, fire and puppetry, and 'Concert ‘Eau in Sea Major', from France, in which Jean Philippe Carde presents an acoustic concert aquatic with fellow amphibious musicians Florent Lalet and Stéphane Gratteau.

The three-day event will take place from April 19 to 21. Most performances are free but there will be some ticketed evening shows.
