The Bangkok-based Minor Hotel Group recently acquired the Sothea Boutique Resort in Siem Reap, which reopened on Nov 1 as the Anantara Angkor Resort and Spa (www.anantara.com). The property’s Khmer-inspired architecture is evident in their rooms and suites. Through Dec 31, 2014, the hotel is offering a “Short Breaks” package for guests who stay a minimum of two nights to enjoy extra benefits such as a 20% discount on food, a 90-minute oil massage, upgrade to the next room categov vry and late checkout at 4pm (subject to availability). The package starts from US$294 (B9,146) per night for a deluxe room and US$856 (B26,630) per night for a suite.
