While Chuchai’s extravagant Chuchaiburi hotel project has (thankfully) been halted with no end-date in sight, Amphawa has just welcomed a new boutique stay. The compact Amphawa Na Non Hotel & Spa (96 Prachaset Rd., Amphawa, Samut Songkram, 034-752-111, www.amphawananon.com), located a three-minute walk to the bustling floating market, contains 36 contemporary-style rooms clad in three different palettes, from vibrant colors on the first floor to cozier schemes on the third, where the suites are situated. Guests can unwind with massages and treatments at the in-house spa or go up to Amphawa’s only rooftop bar for a sunset cocktail. Rates are B3,500 for a regular room and B7,500 for a suite. Special for BK fans: rooms are from B2,300 on weekdays and from B2,500 on weekends, through Mar 31.
