The Mid-Autumn Festival is just round the corner, and if you’re still looking to get into the celebratory mood, Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival 2018 might be just what you need.
Hosted by Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall, the annual festival will be happening from Sep 22-23, 10am-9.30pm. This year's festivities is set to be extra special thanks to the organizers attempting to break the record for the largest mooncake in Singapore during the first day of the event. The public is welcome to snap pictures of the giant 1.8m pastry, followed by having a taste of it after.
Besides the unveiling, expect there to be a thematic lantern installation; workshops for mooncake making and tea appreciation; lantern riddle games; a heritage food trail; a guided gallery tour; story-telling sessions; an evening concert and more. Most activitie are free with some requiring registration here.
Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival 2018 is happening Sep 22-23 from 10am-9.30pm at Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall. Admission is free. More information here.
