Singapore's largest convention for comic geeks, toy collectors and gamers is back
Marvel and DC creators and artists will be there
Last year may have been Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention's (STGCC) big 10 year celebration, but that won't stop them from outdoing themselves again this year. Returning with a vengeance on Sep 8-9, STGCC promises even more cosplay pageantry, exciting eSports competitions and special appearances from iconic artists.
Sands Expo and Convention Center will be the epicenter for all things pop culture, as famous comic and manga artists, local and regional cosplayers, die-hard collectors, anime creators, toy designers, soundtrack composers and more trawl the halls for a slice of the action. Also returning to STGCC is the annual Championships of Cosplay, where the best cosplayer will represent Singapore the Crown Championships of Cosplay finals at C2E2 2019 on an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Chicago.
The biggest highlight this year has to be the appearance of Marvel Studios' Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding, who's worked on titles like Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther, as part of STGCC's celebration of Marvel Cinematic Universe's 10th anniversary. Also, David Finch, who's better known as the brains behind Batman's wedding, as well as a contributor to Marvel and DC Comics titles like New Avengers, Wonder Woman and Ultimatum, will be present.
Moving away from all things Marvel and DC, STGCC will also see Japanese character designer Range Murata (Blue Submarine No.6, LASTEXILE, Shangri-La) and composer YUC'e (beatmania IIDX, SEGA's CHUNITHM) attending this year's affair.
Tickets are priced from $10, available here. For the full lineup, check out the STGCC website, or get your updates via Facebook.
