You can now adventure through a fantasy world made of nine-meter-tall balloons at Siam Paragon
Are these the biggest balloons Bangkok has ever seen?
One of the city’s most trafficked public spaces is turning into a massive fantasy world filled with some of the largest balloon creations you'll see during your run on planet Earth. From Oct 17-21, Parc Paragon is welcoming world-famous French street theatre group Plasticiens Volants to host “Kids Carnival: Little Nemo in Slumberland,” a rendition of its famous balloon show. The show combines pyrotechnics, acrobatics, as well as special lighting and music to highlight the enormous nine-meter-tall inflated puppets that will hover over Parc Paragon and probably dominate IG feeds like no one’s business.
Created by American cartoonist Winsor McCay, “Little Nemo in Slumberland“ chronicles the journey of a little boy named Nemo who dreams himself into wondrous predicaments but is always interrupted by waking up at the end. His adventures ran in the New York Herald newspaper and New York American journal as a full-page comic strip for over 10 years and was popular among readers before Plasticiens Volants turned the tale into a fascinating street show. If that doesn't sell it, you'll probably go anyway to take a bunch of fun photos.
The event at Parc Paragon marks the first time the show lands on Southeast Asian soil, and the big-time inflatables will include a huge castle, furry wildlife, and a giant raspberry “field”.
