Ojo hit the ground running last year, opening up a venue for high-end Mexican food fine dining at one of Bangkok’s most famous addresses ahead of The Standard’s opening. On Jul 22, the charming Francisco “Paco” Ruano will be bringing in five guest chefs for a dynamic dinner one-time dinner.
100 Mahaseth’s Chalee Kader, Eat Me’s Tim Butler, Samrub Samrub Thai’s Prin Polsuk, Vaso’s Alvaro Ramos, and Jim Thompson’s Pepe Dasi Jimenez will head to Mahanakhon for a Michelin-star-studded event featuring a mix of world cuisines.
Expect the guest chefs to delve into their own signature dishes from Latin American Thai classics to regional Spanish fare. Chef Paco will be unveiling new dishes—a chef who dispels myths about traditional Mexican cuisine with careful ingredients and inventive cooking methods.
Ojo, which came in at number 24 at last year’s Top Tables 2022, opened with the long-awaited The Standard hotel in Bangkok’s world famous Mahanakhon building, boasting perhaps the best view of any restaurant in the city. The 50-second elevator ride to the top is a tourist attraction in and of itself. The venue is couched in a Ou Baholyodhin design of jewel, marble, and gold aesthetics inspired by Central America, but it’s also got a retro playhouse vibe.
The 12-hand, priced at B3,400 per person, begins at 6pm and will be accompanied by cocktails made exclusively for the event. Reservations can be made at this
