TWG’s new Haute Couture Tea set champions floral notes and vibrant pink hues

One of Bangkok’s most prominent tea houses, TWG Tea, is embracing the sweetness and oriental charm of springtime sakura (the stunning cherry blossoms that pepper Japan’s landscape) by unveiling its Spring 2018 Haute Couture Tea set—available until the end of June.

Starting off with “new beginnings”, the Always Sakura Tea emits a sweet and floral fragrance from the pink petals of a cherry blossom tree—enhanced by the contrasting notes of wild Rainier cherry and fresh rose blossom—resulting in a fruity, floral aftertaste. The whole set is encased in a limited-edition tin package decorated with vivid emerald, gold and blush pink colors to fit with its symbolic expression of life, death and renewal.

Aside from the aromatic tea, TWG Tea has also introduced Blooming Tale dessert—a special sweet treat to accompany your tea break. The signature dessert arrives in a sakura tea sorbet dome, which reveals a green tea brownie topped with Always Sakura Tea infused ice cream that pairs well with the tea itself. The Always Sakura Tea from TWG’s Haute Couture Tea Collection will set you back B1,360 while the dessert is only B420—available at TWG Tea Tea Salons & Boutiques.
