Pose fans, unite. Sathorn-based gallery Tentacles is joining forces with the BACC on Jan 18 to celebrate two dances born out of the LGBTQ underground: waacking and voguing.

Taking place at the BACC (4/F, Studio) from 2-8pm, Spectro Dance Battle invites everyone to dress up and hit the stage, showing off your most glittered up ballroom waack and your most over-the-top vogue.

The event promises to be raucous and definitely risqué, with MC Benjamin Law cranking the energy, DJ Mikey Mike providing the soundtrack and Japanese waack champion Chise Ninja judging the six categories. Those include “Whaacking: Glitter on da Face;” “Vogue: Walk with Tiara;” “European Runway: Walk with Fabric;” “OTA Realness: Chef;” “OTA Vogue Femme: Vogue with Props;” and “Sex Siren: Shimmer Body,” which basically means putting enough oil or shimmer on your body to make the judge want to talk dirty to you.

On top of the contests and the party, expect showcases from Higher Level and Kandy Zyanide—top three in season two of “Drag Race Thailand.”

No experience is necessary to take part in the competitions. You can register to dance or purchase tickets to attend just for fun here (B200-250). For more information, check out the Facebook event page.
