Taking back the streets.

It may be about ghosts and ghouls tonight, but tomorrow the Banthattong Freedom Street For All event kicks off, turning one of foodies’ favorite haunts into a pedestrian-friendly area. From 2-3 November from 4pm until midnight, walkers rule the streets.

The area held a Car-Free Day in September to raise awareness of pedestrian safety, and now the Pathumwan District Office, in collaboration with Chulalongkorn University and the Chulalongkorn University Property Management Office, is hosting this event to put those on foot back in charge.

Activities include the Banthattong City Model by we!park and “Spirited Street” where people will share ideas about developing sidewalks and canal areas as well as inviting people to celebrate with costumes with a 360-degree screen experience.

If you'd like to join, don’t forget to plan your trip and use public transportation to get to Bantadthong from Saphan On Intersection to Chula Soi 12.
