For International Women’s Day this weekend, BK has everything from all-woman comedy and mixology to massive fairs with food, talks, and workshops. Also this weekend, you’ll find a craft beer event at Burbrit and food deals to celebrate the anniversary of Carmina. If music is more your thing, the city boasts a host of DJs playing through Sunday, karaoke at Fatty’s Bar and Diner, and Mogwai are finally in town.

Cello at Apt 101

Apt 101 has fast gained a reputation for the club to be seen. This Thursday the chic space will be putting on a show with Cello, a DJ who has been spinning since 1992, on the decks playing hits you’ll love with house and disco. Latin Paradise

For some reason, Latin dance has really taken hold of Bangkok in the last year. Pop in at Moxy for classes, practice, and a party with salsa, bachata, kizomba, and more in Chitlom. More info here, Moxy

Hugo Unplugged Concert Vol. 2

Ballsy Women at The Parlour

In the wind up to International Women’s Day on Mar 8, Iron Balls - The Parlour is bringing in mixologists from The Pontiac Hong Kong, Jen Queen & Nicole Slater, to show the fellas how to make a proper drink. Some proceeds will go to breast cancer awareness, and it says if you bring and leave a bra you get a free shot—and we’re not sure if they’re serious about that but we expect so.
