St Patrick’s Day falls on a weekend this year, but there’s plenty more craic to be getting on with in Bangkok. Slash and Tom Jones—a dichotomy if there ever were one—will both be playing live shows this weekend. If you’re in the mood for something local, Yimfest is kicking off alongside six-hand dinners with Mia, an art battle at Fig Lobby, Prairie beers at Hair of the Dog in Phrom Phong and more.

The 83-year-old crooner Sir Tom Jones is still traveling the world and shows no signs of slowing down. This time, the legendary Welsh singer and global icon will be in Bangkok for just one night. Fresh off his surprise appearance at the Oscars, Slash, who played as the lead guitarist for the Guns N' Roses in Bangkok last year is returning with his fourth and most recent record, featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. Yimfest, a Thai music festival meaning “smile,” will be bringing some of Thailand’s rising stars to the stage. Dance along the Chao Phraya River with 27 artists scattered across three stages. HotD is back this weekend with one of their famous beer tastings, this time with Prairie Artisan Ales.
