Baobei Festival, Chang Chui’s month-long fair mashing together February’s scarlet holidays, has run its Valentine’s Day course and now arrives at Chinese New Year. For Feb 15-18, the hip vendors have been re-attired and their goods and foods repackaged to be holiday-appropriate. Even the live music hasn’t managed to buck the theme, with a photo teasing at least one guzheng.

Film: Doc+Talk 12 : Tokyo idols

Documentary Club hosts a screening of the documentary Tokyo Idols, which uses the story of aspiring pop star Rio to examine the interplay between urban loneliness, digital fandom and a subcultural obsession with young female sexuality. Film: Nue Gab Nhang

Thong Lor Art Space will host a screening of independent filmmaker Santi Taepanich’s latest documentary Nue Gab Nhang (Flesh and Bone) every weekend this month.
