Two iconic Thai household brands get a pop culture makeover
This pop-up is packed with Thai twists.
Two classic Thai household brands—Hatakabb anti-cough pills and Snake Brand prickly heat cooling powder—have just been given a pop culture makeover. The new looks come courtesy of Thai fashion and lifestyle label Greyhound and illustrator Spun. The result? A modern-Thai fashion collaboration that is bold and beautiful.
Part of Siam Center’s “Absolute Thai Souvenir” pop-up store, the Takabb x Greyhound collection features pop-arty T-shirts (B990), bucket hats (B1,190) and tote bags screen printed with Hatakabb’s signature takabb ha tua (five centipede) design. Meanwhile, the Snake Brand x Spun collection features illustrator Spun Inthawong’s modern take on the iconic snake and roses logo on various items, including T-shirts (B299), crossbody bags (B1,990) and totes.
Aside from these highlight collections, expect other cool lifestyle products with Thai twists, such as Thai-style market bags from Mad Matter (from B490) and Beehive Article Rare (B250), notebooks (B350) and pouches (B990) with old-school Thai matchbox logos from Daroon, and more screen printed T-shirts and tote bags with the word “Siam” in Thai from Dry Clean Only.
The Absolute Thai Souvenir pop-up store will be held on G/F, Siam Center, Rama 1 Rd., from now until Nov 17
