These krajood hampers from local Thai communities make a great holiday gift
Buying gifts while supporting communities
Hampers are all the rage this time of year, and why not? They pack a bundle of awesome goodies into one easily giftable package. The Mall Group is joining the citywide hamper malee with its "Blissful Hamper 2020" campaign that allows you to customize your own hamper with eco-friendly products. The event runs from now until Jan 15 at Gourmet Market and Home Fresh Mart.
Made from eco-friendly and biodegradable krajood grass and water hyacinth plants, each hamper is delicately woven by local Thai artisans from craft groups in Payao and Phatthalung—and a chunk of the proceeds goes to support these local communities.
If that’s not special enough, you can also customize the hampers with made-to-order flower bouquets, and get advice from the Gift & Wrap zone staff on what kind of items to include based on your loved one’s preferences. If you want to add a real personal touch, there are workshops hosted every weekend (Sat-Sun, 11am-7pm) to add the names of your loved one’s on the outside of the hamper in cute and artistic ways.
The eco-friendly hampers are available at every branch of Gourmet Market and Home Fresh Mart, while the painting workshops and flower bouquet zones are available at three locations: Gourmet Market at Emporium, Emquartier, and Siam Paragon.
