Local women’s wear brand Shaka (meaning Buddha in Japanese), known for its conceptual designs and geometric touches, just revealed its 2013 autumn/winter collection. Dubbed Time Machine, the collection features flare skirts, cropped tops, dresses and jumpsuits with print patterns of items found in a woman’s purse—like lipstick and fake eyelashes—as well as geometric shapes and texturized parts. The playful designs highlight the expertise of head designer Chatree Tengha, a previous winner of the Thailand Young Designers Award at the Makuhari Grand Prix and second runner-up in the Young Asian Fashion Designers Contest in Singapore.
