In 2009, Douwe Jacobs and Tom Schouten from Rotterdam wanted to create a chair that was compact, mobile and had a small carbon footprint. With some inspiration from paper sculpture and a single sheet of polypropylene plastic, they made the Flux Chair. The chair, which has won several awards in Europe, including the Philips Innovation Award, and which was featured in Dwell Magazine, has now unfolded in Bangkok at the Crystal Design Center.
