The Nike AirMax collab with Riccardo Tisci has dropped in Bangkok. And you can't buy them.
You never stood a chance.
Nike's latest high-profile collab sneaker series lasted mere hours before Bangkok sneaker-heads snapped up all 24 pairs available in the city.
A launch event held at the Air Max X Carnival Pop Up at Acmen Ekamai Complex yesterday (Mar 26 or "Air Max Day") saw the NikeLab Air Max 97 Mid x Riccardo Tisci sneakers go on sale for B7,000 a pair.
Nike marked the 30th year of its Air Max series with a collaboration with Italian star designer Ricardo Tisci (who just departed Givenchy and is rumoured to be heading to Versace).
Blending '90s Italian couture with sportwear, the mid-top sneakers come in black leather, wavy stiches, hidden zip pocket and a white Air Max-style outsole.
