Haji Lane has been buzzing of late, with interesting new establishments finding homes in the narrow shopping street over the past six months.

Events and floral specialist Wonderland for Detailed Planners (WFDP) opened a multi-concept café and lifestyle store Shop Wonderland in December last year, followed by art gallery and coffee house Elffin & Elffin Gallery Café, which opened in February. The latest addition in the 'hood is home decor and lifestyle boutique Mondays Off, the brainchild of Leyna Poh (also our former graphic designer at I-S!)

The homey space is unfussy in its bare form—white walls, concrete floor, track lighting and minimalist furniture—but cluttered (in a good way) with offbeat Scandinavian-style home decor items. "I’m heavily inspired by Scandinavian way of living and its designs," says Leyna. "The shop is all about inspiring people to decorate spaces with quality products that won’t break the bank."

What you'll find in store: colorful patterned cushions from South Africa (from $40), local hand-made vases inspired by traditional cheongsams ($400-500) and in-house designed typographic posters dreamed up by Leyna herself ($20-39). There’s a shelf full of “made in SG” goodies like GSH Conserves ($4-10/bottle), as well as a curated selection of books and indie magazines provided by BooksActually.
