Hong Kong-based multi-label indie store Kapok Tools, which CNN called a "top 5 'fashion insiders' shopping destination", opens its first store at PlayLab at TANGS Orchard.

Founded by Frenchman Arnault Castel in 2006, the lifestyle brand, which takes its name after kapok trees, is renowned for its curation of subdued and practical designs, some of which are collaborative in-house pieces.

Expect a selection of ready-to-wear indie brands like Commune de Paris and French Trotter, as well as some desirable home accessories and beauty products like scented candles from Astier de Villatte. Prices start from $29.
