Jim Thompson, known the world over for its fine silk products, recently collaborated with British textile designer Richard Smith for the ninth time. The result is the summer 2013 home-fabric collection “Grand Vizier,” for No.9 Thompson, the non-silk line of the Jim Thompson brand. Smith took inspiration from various central Asian patterns and colors, such as prints found on Uzbekiztani hijab and Middle-Eastern silks, resulting in seven print patterns on linen sourced from around the world.
