Italian luxury brand Marni is adding a splash of color to The Emporium over the next two weeks. The brand’s traveling pop-up concept, called Marni Market, sets up shop in the shopping center’s Motion Hall from now until Feb 13. Marni Market has been making pit stops to some of the world’s fashion hot spots for some time now, and this marks just the second time it comes to Thailand.
While there are already a few Marni boutiques in Bangkok, the temporary Marni Market pop-up at The Emporium will be the only physical store in Thailand offering Marni Market’s patented line of handmade stripped polyamide shopping bags, pialette-print clutches and cotton hats that up until this point were only available online.
What makes this “more than a fashion pop-up” is the cute range of knick-knacks and decor on offer, including the new Marni Wooly Friends: a limited-edition collection of hand-made wool and metal animals in a range of vibrant colors. You can also snag yourself some staples like hand-woven PVC chairs, striped cotton totes, colored pic-nic baskets, animal pins and decorated thermos.
Speaking strictly about the pop-up’s design, its use of bright colors, sharp, jagged lines and upbeat ambiance is supposed to be an ode to some of the world’s greatest market atmospheres packed into a sleek package.
Check out Marni Market until Feb 13 at Motion Hall, G Floor, The Emporium.
