The mega-popular Chinese brand of collectable toys, Pop Mart, will open its first flagship store on the first floor of Central World this Sep 19. The brand is known for its collaborations with world-renowned artists, and has previously opened other flagship stores in global hubs like Sydney, Tokyo, New York, London, and Hong Kong.

The opening in Bangkok will also come with the chance to buy exclusive, limited-edition toys from the brand’s Skullpanda range, which will only be available here. You’ll also find an array of pop culture-inspired toys from Hirono, Crybaby, Harry Potter, Disney, Marvel, and more. Fans of the brand also frequently use its eponymous app, which allows users to trade toys with one another and post photos of their figurines set up in various world locations.

Pop Mart is also known for its use of “blind boxes,” which include a random mix of toys that remain a mystery until the box is opened. While controversial to some, the trend is so widespread in China that economists often discuss the effects of the “blind box economy” and Pop Mart’s heavy use of the business tactic comes up frequently.

The Thailand flagship store is also a collaboration with Minor Lifestyle, an arm of Minor International and one of the country’s largest distributors of lifestyle brands and manages hundreds of retail outlets across the country.
