Fashionistas can't seem to get enough of the futuristic Bao Bao Issey Miyake bags, so the stunning new Autumn/Winter 2018 collection is sure to be met with excitement.

With innovative concepts and versatile designs at its core, the brand plays with three-dimensional forms, paint splatter textures and a variety of materials, transforming their popular bags into wearable contemporary art pieces.

First up is the “Painting” series, where the popular lucent bags are given a glossy, three-dimensional paint-textured surface. We love how the bags in this series still manage to look clean-cut even with their vigorous paint splatter patterns.

Each bag is one-of-a-kind, too, as they all come with different brushstrokes and designs. The tote version (B29,900) features 2-way adjustable handles and an interior zip pocket, while the wristlet version features a zipped enclosure and interior pocket to safely store your valuables.

The “Supernova” series gives off a psychedelic vibe, with lucent marbled bags featuring one-of-a-kind patterns dominated by bold splashes of red, yellow and cobalt blue. This series is available in three different sizes—the large 18 x 18 inch tote (B22,900), the medium 13 x 13 inch tote (B16,900) and the small shoulder bag with interior pocket and adjustable nylon cord (B14,900).

Another series that really caught our attention is “Face” (available in October), which presents yet more lucent totes as well as wristlets in vibrant, abstract "face" designs made from multi-colored triangular and circular panels. The highlight? These bags come to life with changing expressions depending on how they are filled—it’s like having a 3D sculpture on your arm.

For Bao Bao fans who want to branch out, look for the trendy “Waist Bag” series (B13,900) and the “Small Planet” series (available in October)—chic shoulder bags that come in a striking round design, available in white, red, black and deep green.

All bags are priced at the same rate as in Japan and come with a one-year warranty.
