COS, the slightly higher-brow arm of Sweden's H&M fashion retailer, will open its first Thailand store in early 2018.

According to a press release, the minimalist brand will open a 625-sq-meter Bangkok branch at Phrom Phong's EmQuartier mall next March, loaded with womenswear, menswear and childrenwear.

We first caught wind of the impending opening back in July, when COS posted recruitment ads on Jobsdb looking for a Brand Manager and Store Manager for a Bangkok store.

Lauched in 2007, COS stands for "Collection of Style" and is known for its clean shapes and pared-back stylings. Bangkok will become the seventh city in Asia to welcome the brand after it arrived in Hong Kong in 2012.

Other than location and opening date, there's still not a lot of information to go on. However, it's reasonable to assume local prices will be comparable to those around Asia. For example, COS Korea sells men's shirt at around B4,500 and women's cardigans from B4,000.
