Make wiser impulse purchases.

Perhaps due to the Great Singapore Sale (through July 27), there’s a slew of cool pop-ups happening now—great if pilfering through mass-market past-seasons goods don’t cut it for you.

The Redundant Shop

Looks like online retailers aren't the only ones doing pop-ups. Hipster lifestyle store The Redundant Shop has cast its net further out with its first out-of-shop retail space (through June 22) at Wanderlust Hotel, paying homage to independent makers and businesses. Brands stocked here include Second Kings, Word, Ang Ku Kueh Girl, Casey Chen, FIN and Good News & Co. The Redundant folks are also putting out a silk screen workshop on June 21 and 22, where you get to print your own tote bag.

Tokyobike x Bradley Wiggins Collection

Fred Perry Singapore has found a temporary home for its collaborative line with pro cyclist Bradley Wiggins at Rivets, Tokyobike's sister store. Open through July 27, find unfussy yet stylish clothes and accessories designed for the urban cyclist ($179 upwards).

MATTER #nomadcart pop-up

Learn about India's textile history, handcarved block prints and dyes at this pop-up concept by local socially conscious label Matter. There will also be various pants on display for customers to try before purchasing online.

BooksActually

With plans to buy a new shop space, the BooksActually folks are collaborating with Kinetic for The Homeless Book Project as part of their second round of fundraising. Besides holding a month-long 25% storewide sale (through June 30), various venues including The Arts House, Supermama, The Redundant Shop, Tyrwhitt General Company and Mondays Off have set up a quirky little display within its space, of which you'll find a QR code that gets you extra 5% off (that's 30% in total) when you shop at BooksActually.

Percentile

If you’re feeling particularly generous, don’t forget to check out third instalment of Percentile shopping fair at *SCAPE (Jul 12-13, noon), which sees 14 local retailers and designers including Actually, Front Row, P.V.S, Eclecticism and Depression peddling sale and sample items at up to 90% off.

Naiise

Local design goods specialist Naiise’s second pop-up at 115KG offers stools and lamps from District Eight Design, bamboo bicycles from Bamboobee, Art Deco-ish cushion covers from Scene Shang and lots more upcycled products and local designs from its webstore.
