Bangkok just can't get enough of oozing little treats, whether it's custard lava buns or lava croissants. But now comes the ultimate in ooey gooey goodness: the salted egg lava macaron!

The city's favorite New York-hailing deli Dean & Deluca launched a new dessert this morning, and within moments of opening queues of up to 100 meters were reported along Narathiwas Road.
 
Available at B60/piece or B300/3 pieces, the salted egg yolk lava macarons are the deli’s latest effort to win crowds back from Bangkok’s new wave of trending cafes serving desserts which promise to spill sickly liquid the moment you cut into them.

And this looks like one trend that's here to stay. We've already spotted knock-off versions at Sathorn's newly-opened Joyjellybelly Cafe going for just B35 a pop.
