As Singapore continues to do what it does the best (food), here are a few items to keep you updated:
- If you're a fan of British home-cooked staples, The Jackson Plan's new lunch menu, which includes cullen skink, fish and chips, bubble and squeak, and steak and stout pie, is sure to tickle your fancies.
- For those who love Latin American food, but are afraid to put on an extra few pounds, never fear. Chef Sam Haqmeed of El Toro introduces an new featuring a vegetarian menu section with healthier options at reasonable prices. Dishes include an Ecuadorian cheese and avocado quesadilla, pasta primavera and arroz verde (green rice), and also a new coffee and dessert bar.
- Class it up at Senso with new black truffles and wild mushrooms airflown from Italy. Some stars of the show: duo of carpaccio beef and beetroot with sauteed chanterelle muchroom, and homemade potato gnocchi with shaved summer black truffle. Prices from $16 onwards, and set menu $134 onwards.
- Morton's of Chicago releases a new promotional menu of epic proportions, which includes a "Centre Cut Iceberg Wedge" Salad, single-cut filet mignon, cold water lobster tail, grilled jumbo asparagus, and a classic combination of Morton's signature seafood dishes. The menu is available until Dec 31, and priced $198 per person.
- Chef Patron Mario Caramella of Forlino Italian Restaurant has created a new Gourmet Weekend Brunch menu, inspired by Italian elite society cuisine. This new menu features succulent dishes such as pan-roasted goose liver matched with apricot sauce, crisp duck leg steeped in marsala wine sauce, and much, much more to liven up your taste buds. This new menu is sure to please all you connoisseurs of Italia. Prices start at $58 per person.
