Openings and closures: Pistola's last hurrah
The Club Street taco restaurant bids farewell, but Daniel Ong (yes, the former DJ) is launching another new concept.
Those who like a midnight taco snack post cocktails will be sad to hear that after two years, it'll be Pistola's last hurrah this weekend. The Mexican joint bids farewell due to the skyrocketing rents in the happening Club Street scene, so head down this weekend to snap up various hot sauces and other goodies from their blowout sale.
In other news, former DJ-turned-F&B entrepreneur Daniel Ong is planning to open up another concept to add to his growing empire. After the success of Twelve Cupcakes and Orchard Gateway's Dulce & Sucre sweets shop, he's now got his hands full with Rookery. Slated to open at the end of November or early December in Hong Leong Building in the Raffles Quay area, this venture is a "coffee, kitchen and bar" concept.
