Not for everyone's wallet.

If you want to understand why Tokyo's French restaurant scene is considered the best this side of Paris, then head to the first anniversary dinner of Sushi Ichizu this Sep 14-15.

They'll be putting away the sushi for one weekend and inviting in chef Yoshiyuki Ono of the Tablelog Gold Medal-winning Restaurant L'equateur in Tokyo's fancy Roppongi district.

At B15,000 per person, Yoshiyuki-san's dinner promises to be something special, drawing on a wealth of the most premium Japanese produce and turning them into elegant European creations.

The restaurant’s own chef, Toda Riku, who boasts 12 years' experience in Edo-style sushi making and once occupied a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tokyo, will also be contributing a few courses.

The dinner is offered during just two sessions each day, at 5:30pm and 8:30pm. Each one has just 16 seats.
