Italian specialist restaurant Truffle Gourmet (49 Club St., 6222-5996) will launch on October 4 on Club Street, in a space formerly occupied by tapas bar La Cicala.

The place will specialize in an array of truffle dishes (cooked up by chef Takashi Okuno). “The front of the space will be a bar offering drinks with complimentary snacks, and the back will be a dining room,” says the restaurant’s chief executive officer Nicola Sandoli.

Order up dishes like grilled truffled polenta ($14), bruschetta with cream and truffle ($12) and truffle fries ($11). Other than a truffle focused menu, the restaurant will also eventually offer truffle food products for retail sale such as truffle risotto mix, truffle anchovies and truffle honey.
