Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant has launched over 20 new dishes to celebrate the opening of its new flagship outlet in Plaza Singapura.

New executive chef Yee Cheong Wah in preparation for the new menu, visited Nan Xiang in Shanghai to understudy the cuisine.The result is a hot and steaming array of new treats such as Jelly Fish with Spicy Vinegar. For this dish, Chef Yee use only the head, the premium part of a jellyfish that gives the cold sweet and sour dish the extra crunch.

Another unique dish is “Yuan Yang” Duck Tongue. This is a combination dish that offers both the drunken and braised styles of duck tongue. The former is lightly perfumed with Chinese wine while the latter is braised with herbs in a soy sauce broth. Both are equally tasty and offer a pleasantly gelatinous bite. Other must-try dishes include Braised Beancurd with Crab Meat, Braised Pork Belly Ribs, Steamed Egg with Clam and Vermicelli with Crab Roe.
